Election and Freewill – The Quest Begins
Two pillars of the Early Christian Church – Peter and Paul – wrote separately on the subject of salvation, yet with complete unanimity and absolute harmony. In other words, they both believed and taught the same truths concerning God, Christ and man, in that order. Yet it seems to me that there is a man-made system of theology which distorts these truths, clouding understanding. In the first of three articles I prepare the ground of my study into this subject.
Election and Freewill – What I Believe

In other words, they both believed and taught the same truths concerning God, Christ and man, in that order. In the second of these three articles my study into this subject has confirmed what I believe.
Election and Freewill – What Others Believe
Two pillars of the Early Christian Church – Peter and Paul – wrote separately on the subject of salvation, yet with complete unanimity and absolute harmony. In other words, they both believed and taught the same truths concerning God, Christ and man, in that order. Yet it seems to me that there is a man-made system of theology which distorts these truths, clouding understanding. In the third of these three articles my study into this subject, to confirm that I am not alone in my beliefs, has led me to investigate a panoply of eminent scholars to discover what others believe.
As Jesus was sitting on the Mount of Olives, the disciples came to Him privately. “Tell us,” they said, “...what will be the sign of your coming at the end of the age?” Jesus answered: “Watch out that no-one deceives you. For many will come in my name, claiming, ‘I am the Christ,’ and will deceive many...For false Christs and false prophets will appear and perform great signs and miracles to deceive even the elect” (Matthew 24:3-5,24).
But there were also false prophets among the people, just as there will be false teachers among you. They will secretly introduce destructive heresies, even denying the sovereign Lord who bought them...Many will follow their shameful ways and will bring the way of truth into disrepute (2 Peter 2:1,2).
Dear friends, do not believe every spirit, but test the spirits to see whether they are from God, because many false prophets have gone out into the world. This is how you can recognise the Spirit of God: Every spirit that acknowledges that Jesus Christ has come in the flesh is from God, but every spirit that does not acknowledge Jesus is not from God (1 John 4:1-3).
